The 2003 Build-A-Bike contest is over. Congratulations to the winner!
Phil Andrews
Anamosa, IA
It pays to listen to your friends. Just ask Phil Andrews. He and his buddy, Eddie, had finished their tour of the Museum and were about to leave when Eddie noticed that the Museum was selling raffle tickets for a new motorcycle. Eddie purchased his ticket right away but Phil wasn’t so eager. After some harassing, Phil broked down and purchased a raffle ticket (#0047). His name was drawn at 3:10pm, December 31, 2003 by Matt Behrends, Vice President of Citizens Bank, Anamosa, IA, and witnessed by Robert Shimanek, Attourney at Law, Monticello, IA. Museum staff and visitors also witnessed the drawing. Phil claims that he is always buying raffle tickets for a variety of causes, but he has never won anything! Ironically, he had recently talked with his wife about buying a Honda. Now he has a Harley and no motorcycle license! Once he gets a license Phil will enjoy riding this beautiful anodized aluminum motorcycle around the rolling hills of the Midwest. F & S Harley-Davidson® of Dayton, Ohio co-sponsored the raffle with the National Motorcycle Museum.
