Thunder Nites In Newton is a non-profit reorganization of Weekend Pit Stop created by a group of friends to promote Newton and all that Newton has to offer. Located just 30 miles east of Des Moines off of I-80 (exits 164 or 168), Newton provides a quiet living area with great schools and plenty of room to grow a family or business. Get to Know Newton!
2017 marks the 6th year holding Thunder Nites in Newton. With monthly community-oriented events from May through September on the 2nd Friday of the month, we promote Newton and Jasper county by bringing friends, families and motorcycles together on the Newton Town Square. We host over 2000+ motorcycles at each of our events and from 3,000 to 5,000 people from Iowa and all 4 surrounding states. Thunder Nites has been recognized as the 2nd largest Bike Night event in the Midwest.
